Jul 07 2015 It’s A Matter of The Heart
Someone recently said in regards to the shootings in Charleston that we need to get to the heart of the matter if we are to stop all the craziness!
THE HEART!
The Bible says: “The heart is deceitful above all things and is wicked…” Jeremiah 17:9
In the Bible, the heart refers to the mind, will and emotions. So if the heart is messed up, so will be our thinking, our actions and how we deal with our emotions.
Nothing men and women do should shock us, if they are operating with a Jeremiah 17:9 heart.
Is there an answer to the deceitful, wicked heart?
There is only one answer……JESUS!
Jesus made hearts!
Jesus can change hearts!
Do we want:
- Healthy men and women?
- Healthy husbands and wives?
- Healthy mothers and fathers?
- Healthy children?
- Healthy society?
- Etc, etc, etc?
Then what is needed is a NEW HEART!
II Corinthians 5:17 (NLT): “What this means is that those who became Christians became new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!”
John 1:12 (Amplified): But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name –
- So have you received him?
- Does He live in your hear?
- Are you allowing Him to change your heart and life?
The purpose of Tolson Ministries is to point people in our city and country to THE ONLY ONE who can change a broken heart! That’s what we do everyday!
