Much of discipleship is caught rather than taught. We all need someone to help us become the person God wants us to be. Jesus is not only our Savior, but our Teacher. We learn from Him.
A disciple is one who follows and imitates the life and teachings of another as that person imitated Christ. The Apostle Paul said, “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”
Reproducing disciples involves taking what the Lord has invested into your life through learning and following another and passing along those truths and faith foundation to others.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
